Welcome to our world of performance art

We want to introduce you to the Little Theatre of Weston.
Historically, the Little Theatre Movement pulsed through a network of amateur theatre activities operating across the United States in the 1920’s. Little Theatre opposed commercialism, instead seeking to improve economic conditions within the theatre through cooperation with the community while fostering greater artistic exploration and the promotion of new plays. This movement believed that music and theatrical arts could be used to help both society and the self by expression. We seek to adhere to that movement.
The mission of the Little Theatre of Weston is to elevate the arts and humanities by providing quality entertainment and education to the community and surrounding areas, while supporting Weston’s commercial and cultural exchange and growth. Our purpose is to provide access, training, involvement, and enjoyment of diverse theatrical activities in as many settings as is feasible. By accessing local talents, a variety of venues, and other professional resources, the community, local merchants, and the Little Theatre of Weston are all able to benefit and grow from positive collaboration.
We will be serving the community of Weston and surrounding rural areas. Weston is home to an established and thriving community of performers and performance organizations such as Weston Community Theatre. Little Theatre of Weston seeks to add to that community by expanding performance opportunities and cultivating a more diverse environment.
Through collaboration with other professional entities, we intend to grow the vision of what theatrical entertainment and education means to the community. We are excited to embark on a journey where we are able to cooperate, collaborate and further increase the talent pool for all performing arts entities in the area by offering the next level in professional development.
Our inaugural board is composed of residents, business owners and professional performers who are looking forward to serving the Community of Weston. If you would like to learn more or become a member of the Little Theatre of Weston, we invite you to speak to any of our board members or contact us at:
