AUDITION PIECES

Audition Piece #1 – Reporter / News Story (Authoritative, steady, clear)

“This just in: a mysterious light has been spotted over downtown Chicago. Witnesses report a sudden burst of energy, followed by a loud sonic boom. Officials are advising everyone to remain indoors until further information is released. We’ll continue to update you as the situation develops.”

Audition Piece #2 – Eyewitness / Emotional Testimony (Natural, reactive, emotional)

“I… I can’t believe what I saw. One minute, everything was normal, and then—this huge flash! People started screaming, running in every direction. I don’t even remember how I ended up here. My hands are still shaking. I swear, I’ve never seen anything like it.”

Audition Piece #3 – Mundane / Random Monologue (Actor’s choice – comedic, philosophical, or deadpan)

“You ever notice how we never actually finish a jar of peanut butter? We just… keep buying new ones. The old one gets shoved in the back of the cupboard until one day, five years later, you find it fossilized next to a can of beans from 2003. I think about that a lot.”
